So here it is. My directorial debut. I shot it, edited it, and am actually in the band, you can see me there in the background playing keys. We shot this in one night at a disaster containment place in Irvine,CA. My favorite part of this video is the pyramid head white room shot in the bridge of the song. Enjoy.

Cypress Hill and Travis Barker at Smoke Out 2010!

This event was a good time. B-Real came to the Sullen Booth to sign some posters for the new Sullen X Cypress Hill Collab shirt designed by Mr. FLaks, Ryan Smith and Carlos Torres. Amazing show, great times. I wanted to focus in on editing this as a rock show, really take advantage of the four cams we shot with.

I worked with SmartImagination and Rick Thorne to film and edit the video for "Bomb Days" with his band The Good Guys In Black. It was so cool to work a guy that I looked up to in Action Sports. Good times.

Deftones first Blackdiamondsky show in Ventura,CA!

For those of you who know me, The Deftones have a been a huge part of my life. I was lucky enough to be there filming at their first show of their BlackDiamondSky tour in Ventura,CA 8/6/10. I missed out on my class reunion and Lollapalooza 2010, but it was so worth it. Thank you to the Deftones management and to Sullen for getting this hooked up. This was probably one of the funnest performances I could ever film. The Deftones rocked it and the energy is felt through this video. One thing that got me excited for the project and motivated me to keep working on it is the fact that 40% of the net proceeds are being donated to the Starlight Foundation. The Starlight Children's Foundation helps seriously ill kids & their families cope with pain, fear & isolation through entertainment, education & family activities.
I am excited and honored to have been apart of such a project and I look forward to the next book (more details on April 15th).

Coachella 2009!

Coachella 2009 was amazing! It was a weekend of madness, excitement, exhaustion and tons of fun. The drive out there wasn't too bad. I went with a few friends who worked the water booth with me. We worked from 10am to about 1am all weekend. It was tiring but very rewarding. I got to see everyone I wanted to see and found some bands I never even heard of. I saw Paul McCartney, which was amazing. It was so moving, to hear Beatles songs live by a Beatle was something else. When I heard "A Day In The Life", I got misty, which never happens. I saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which was way fun, The Horrors, Fleet Foxes, the beginning of Peter, Bjorn and John's set, kinda boring, but as I left I found one of the greatest live shows I've seen from a band, it was Murder City Devils, so good! I loved Crystal Castles, Alice is amazing! Goldenvoice really treated us right, we got meals, lodging, water and admission for the whole weekend. On the way home we stopped in "California", or the dinosaurs off the 10 (watch "The Wizard"). I can't wait for next year!
