This is for Chi! Chi Cheng from the Deftones has been an amazing influence in who I am as a musician and as a person. His music with the Deftones has been a major part of my life and has gotten me through some of the hardest times. It seems like a band or a person shouldn't have that much effect, but music can do that when you are from a small town. Growing up, my friends and I would get rides to anywhere that the Deftones or any band were playing. We were regulars (musicians and fans) at The Gilroy Gaslighter, where the Deftones played. Music was our life, Music is what keeps me going. When I saw this site I had to tell everyone. Please help Chi Cheng and his family get through their newest hardship. Chi Cheng was in a horrific car accident in Santa Clara,CA, not too far from where I grew up, and was in serious condition. He has since been recovering but his insurance has stopped supporting him. His family needs the help from everyone possible. If you got some money to donate and you dig the Deftones, or just feel like helping out, do it. I'm getting a T-Shirt when I get paid next, since times are a bit tight right now. Help Out!
